“You and I both” by Jason Mraz

“Was it you who spoke the words that things might happen but not to mo, oh things are gonna happen naturally” You and I both is a really amazing song.  Each time I listen to it my heart lifts up. This song is about somebody who loves someone and the person they loved used to love them back but now they don’t, they used to be really close but have fallen apart. I can kind of relate to this song with the really close friends falling apart. My closest friend and me have recently split but she is still really nice we just don’t get along as well as we used to. This song is really soulful and true to its self. Whenever I am down I listen to this and I feel better. Most music does this. Music is my life and passion. Jason Mraz is one of my favorite music artists.

Was it you who spoke the words that

things would happen but not to me

oh things are gonna happen naturally

oh taking your advice im looking on the bright side

and balancing the whole thing

but often times those things

get tangled up in lines

and the bright lights turns tonight

until the dawn it brings

another day to sing about the magic

that was you and me

cause you and i both loved

what you and i spoke of

and others read of

others only read of the love oh the

love that i love

yeah

lalala

see im all about them words

over numbers unencumbered

numbered words

hundreds of pages, pages,

pages forward

more words then i had ever heard

and i feel so alive

cause you and i both loved

what you and i spoke of

and others just read

of and if you could see me now

oh, love, love

you and i, you and i

not so little you and i anymore

mmmmmm

and with this silence brings a moral story

more importantly evolving

is story of a boy

cause you and i both loved

what you and i spoke of

and others just read

of and if you could see me now

well, im almost finally out of

finally out of

finally ly ly ly ly...

well im almost finally, finally well im free,

oh, im free

and its okay if you had to go away

just remember the telephone

oh they work in both ways

but if I never hear them ring

if nothing else ill think the bells inside

have finally found you

someone else and that’s okay

cause ill remember everything you sang

cause you and i both loved

what you and i spoke of

and others just read

of and if you could see me now

well, im almost finally out of

finally out of

finally ly ly ly ly...

well im almost finally finally

well im almost out of words

Best Friends

Friends are important in everybody's life. Life is dull without friends. True friends are the ones that are there for you during the happy and disappointing times in your life. It is hard when you lose a beloved friend. Recently I lost my best friend. She was always cheering me up when I was down. Even though she couldn’t talk back to me I knew that she understood, the way she leaned up against the look and me in her eyes cheered me up. She was a dog, a Golden retriever in fact. Her name is Mathilda. I was walking one day through the neighbor hood with her, she stepped in some really dangerous poison that was put out by some one to get rid of the stray dogs. She licked of her paw like all dogs would do it made her insides bleed, it made her throw up and she could not move. That night we took her to the vet. The next morning we retrieved a call that she didn’t make it through the night. I was so mad at myself that I took her on that walk.  I still can see her run around the pool coming to sit with me. No dog could ever replace her.  She will be my best friend forever.
